GDPR and Google Fonts + Why the built-in fonts slow down your site

Learn Something New

Two key things from this video by Flow Ninja: Using the built-in Google Fonts feature is not GDPR compliant. Second, using the built-in Google fonts (the ones that come pre-installed with every project) loads all font variables, slowing your site and hurting your SEO.

Webflow news

Personal update

A few updates on FlowGo, our Webflow agency. February will be our best month yet with $7.5k/MRR.

I'm also working more on content marketing. A few of my early tutorials are picking up a little traffic (in the 100s/m). I'm already working on a new article reviewing Webflow e-commerce and ways to make it a more robust solution for online stores.

I've spent some time working on this newsletter. Most importantly, I've added an automation to clean up my list. I don't want to clog people's inboxes, so I'm unsubscribing folks who haven't interacted with my content in a while. This also improves my click rates.
